The Culver City Farmers Market has been in operation for over twenty-five years and is sponsored by the City of Culver City. The City contracts with professional, independent contractors to provide comprehensive operations for their Tuesday farmers market. In 2017, at the recommendation of the Culver City Community Development Department, the Culver City Council voted to award Sustainable Management Services, LLC this contract.

Cynthia Ojeda, CEO of Sustainable Management Services, LLC (SMS), has over 28 years of experience in the development, curation and operation of certified farmers markets (CFM) in Los Angeles County. From the beginning, she has championed produce/farmer integrity and grower awareness at certified farmers markets.

A farmers market is a living, breathing collection of growers who cultivate in a continuously changing environment, which expands and retracts with each season. By serving on the State of California’s Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) Advisory Committee, Ms. Ojeda strives to positively shape and ensure a sound future for farmers and certified farmers markets alike.

Sustainable Management Services, LLC has a mission to educate the community about the importance of locally grown produce. SMS is grateful for its superior management team that stays ahead of industry changes, facilitates the market’s nutrition and incentive programs, and strives to ensure that every market day is enjoyable, safe, and successful.
