In May of 1995 the City of Culver City opened a certified farmers market in a parking lot across the street from Culver Studios bordered by Culver, Washington and Ince boulevards and Main Street. The farmers market was to be “the first major event that the city will host in its new downtown, the site of a major redevelopment project”.
